My favorite basketball player

  My favorite basketball player is Michael Jordan. He is my favorite basketball player because he's the greatest of all time. He did things that most players couldn't do. He showed people how good he was and would never back down in a game. I've never actually seen him play because he retired one year before he retired so I wouldn't remember but I've seen highlights of him and he would not miss. I always say that no one will be better than him. He has won 6 championships and never lost in the Finals. I hope that one day I'll get to meet him but for now I'm focusing on making it to the NBA. Michael Jordan is my favorite player.

Fantasy League

The book is about a boy named Charlie Gaines who is good at fantasy football which caught people's attention. Charlie has a friend named Anna who's grandfather is actually the owner of a NFL team called the LA Bulldogs. The team wasn't doing good so far and Charlie wanted to help so he gave them suggestions. Eventually the team finds out that the suggestions he makes actually helps the team and makes them better. They start to win more games because of Charlie and he becomes popular for it. People on the media start to say bad things about him helping the team which affects Charlie. As he got more popular, his friendship with Anna starts to change.

I think that this book is good and recommend it to people who like sports. I think that it would be crazy if a team out of nowhere becomes good because of a kid. Just to inform, some of the teams they say are not actual teams. Some of the them have different names but the same places. If I was helping out an official football team, I'd be honored because it's something no kid has ever done. Overall the book was good and I believe that you'll like it.

NBA Playoffs

  So far I think the NBA playoffs is something to watch because the games are good and intense. Since my favorite team is not in the playoffs anymore, I hope that the San Antonio Spurs go to the finals because they're a good team and because I don't like the Warriors. My favorite team is actually in the Easter Conference which is the Chicago Bulls. The Spurs though are in the Western Conference. All the players that are still in the playoffs are cognizant that this is really important and it can impact the NBA. I believe that the Spurs have a chance of beating the Cleveland Cavaliers if they make it to the finals. I honestly don't want to see the Golden State Warriors go against the Cavaliers again which is another reason why I want the Spurs to win. The Spurs is the team that should win the championship.

All American Boys

     The book is about these the high school kids named Rashad and Quinn. They both go to the same school but the difference about them is that Rashad is black and Quinn is White. They both talk about the police brutality in their hometown and how it's affecting people in a negative way. Rashad got involved with police brutality and doesn't want people to go through what he did. One day Rashad was just trying to buy some snacks for him and his friends and when was looking for some chips. Once he found a the chips he wanted, he checked his bag to see if he had his phone in it but a lady who was trying to get something to drink tripped over him and she dropped the bottle she had which shattered. The woman said she was sorry and Rashad was trying to get up and say it's ok but once he was trying to say it, a police officer who was looking at Rashad as if he was doing something bad told him what was he doing and telling the woman if she's ok and if he did something to her. While Rashad was confused the clerk in the store yelled out that Rashad was trying to steal the chips and the cop asked if that was true but Rashad refused it. Rashad kept on trying to tell the cop that he didn't steal it and he tried to show the cop that he had money but onc he reached in his pocket, the cop threw him to the ground and put handcuffs onto Rashad. He started slamming Rashad to the floor since he thought he was resisting but he wasn't, he was trying to tell the cop that he didn't try to steal anything. After all that happened, Rashad was brutally injured and had to go to the hospital. Quinn is a witness of the situation and is upset of what happened. The thing is that since his father passed away, the cop has been raising him and he doesn't want anything to happen to the cop because of what he did. Everyone around the city started to get mad at the cop and now since Quinn was raised by him, people at his school like his basketball teammates start to dislike him. They both have a somewhat similar interaction. Now both Rashad and Quinn are facing something negative and you need to read to see what happens.


   What I thought about the book is that it's good and interesting. I think it's crazy how someone can get into such a problem for just trying to get something from their bag. I wonder what the woman was thinking when Rashad was getting severely injured. Basketball is my favorite sport which is a reason why I chose this book. Also because someone recommended this book for me. Overall this book was good and I recommend it for people who like sports and fiction. Spring Break

   One thing I mainly did in spring break was play basketball. Everyday I went to play basketball at least longer than 2 hours. I played basketball all break because I obviously like the sport but also to improve and see what I need to work on in order to get better. In most days of the break I played basketball with my friends and practiced with them. I practiced the whole spring break because I know that it will help me persevere on getting better and making a career out of basketball. I wished spring break was longer but I knew that eventually I'm going to have to go back to school.

Life is Beautiful

     The connections I made between the movie and the readings is they both involve with World War II. They same events they have is that the Jews were sent to the concentration camps to work and if they don't then they get killed. They both show how the people were sent into the concentration camps and how crowded they were in the transportations. What I found different was that they let the some of the peoples kids stay in the little rooms with their fathers but in some of the websites i saw said that the children would be in another place without their parents. The main characters had the same situations as some of the people in the Holocaust literatures because they both had to go to concentration camps and they both had to work for the Nazis because if they don't, they'll get killed.

In some parts of the movie it had the same sad tone as the readings but not all of it. Sometimes the mood or tone of the movie was joyful and funny but most of it was sad because of how the people were treated. Most movies of WWII aren't supposed to have a good set of tone but this movie found a way to make the movie draw attention to the audience. The father of the kid made the situation a game for his son to not get scared of what's happening. He changed his sons tone by telling him that nothing bad was happening and that he'll win a tank if he doesn't get caught.

Life is shown beautiful by showing how the father falls in love with his wife and how he didn't give up on her even when she was about to get married with someone's else she didn't like. They eventually have a kid which shows that life is beautiful. Another way is that the people who survived are thankful for it and love life because they still have it. The U.S army also shows that life is beautiful by the movie showing that the soldiers are happy and celebrating that they won the war. The whole movies explains about life by explaining how  the war is the rough and really difficult times. They show that at the end, life is beautiful and people need to remember that.
