What is Gun Violence? What can we do to stop it? Let me show you

I noticed that gun violence has been happening recently and people are trying to prevent it. I've noticed that more people such as citizens in Chicago have been worrying about the gun violence increasing. I read an article about gun violence and I found things that were interesting.

Gun violence has been happening for a long time. Chicago can be an example of a place that has gun violence. It occurs a lot and this year has had the most shootings. Chicago Bulls star Dwayne Wade called the gun laws "weak". What he means is that the people of Chicago are getting killed and no ones doing anything about it. That's what people like me are trying to do, prevent gun violence.

The article also talks about the gun laws that Chicago has. Dwayne Wade said "They are fighting a war" about the Chicago police. Dwayne Wade cares about his hometown and wants to make a difference but he can't do it alone. According to the article "Wade criticizes Chicago gun laws" Dwayne Wade said "But I think my purpose at the end of the day is hopefully to come to Chicago and be a part of the voice that can help bring people together."

Gun violence happens everywhere and hasn't stopped. The U.S have been fighting against the group called Isis and they use gun violence. Gun violence sometimes needs to be need like the fight the U.S has. What I'm trying to do is prevent it and there's many ways to do it.

According to the article "What Will it Take to Stop Gang Violence in Chicago” it says that the gun laws should be more strict. Every country should have strict gun laws because it can prevent violence. What the American Physchological Association said is that you can "contact your member of congress" which can help by telling them to what you can do to prevent it.

There has been videos and articles that have been talking about the police brutality and the black lives matter program. These things have some things involving gun violence. It's been happening mostly in the United States and people are worried that the police are going to do something to them. People have protest about this situation and want the police officers who made gun violence to others arrested.What this topic is about is preventing violence and keeping people safe. It's affecting many people and it need to stop. Try to help with this situation and learn more about it to prevent it.

My favorite quote

My favorite quote is "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen." By Michael Jordan. What this quote means to me is that I need to keep going with what I'm trying to achieve to make things happen. I like this quote because it motivates me and tells me that  I can accomplish things if I really try. This quote was from my idol who I want to someday meet. This is my favorite quote.

What I'm grateful for this year

I'm grateful for my parents who have helped me all my life. They support me in basketball and protect me. They've always been there for me and give me good advice. I'm grateful for them every year, not just this year. They're the best and that's some reasons why I'm grateful for my parents.

Best day of my life

   The best day of my life was when I won the volleyball championship for my school. This happened last year so it wasn't that long ago. It was close game but we were the ones who wanted it more. This was I would say one of the best day because I had other days that I think were the best but I would say it was the best day because it was such a close game and because we accomplished something we always wanted to do in the beginning of the season.

Creepy Clown Sightings All Around

There has been sightings of clowns all around the U.S. These sightings have been increasing over the past month. According to the article "Clown sightings: the days the craze begin", it says "`was a little boy at a low-income apartment complex in Greenville, South Carolina." The person dressed thought it was a joke but others didn't. The sightings have been growing and people are starting to be concerned about it. Wikipedia says "By mid-October 2016 they had been reported in nearly all United States." Which is a big problem for the U.S.


Some people that dress as clowns do it just to frighten people and get away with it but others actual get arrested for doing it. According to Wikipedia, it says "Some people were cited making violent clown threats to schools," which had happened here in Berwyn. People are also worried about what the clowns are going to do in Halloween. They think that the problem will grow more as Halloween gets closer but they were wrong. The good thing is that the clown sightings have been decreasing, an example is Berwyn and people who live here noticed that it hasn't been happening. The police are also involved with the problem so it won't be much of a big deal. Have a great day and be safe.

Outsiders Character Analysis

What I learned about my character (Ponyboy) is that he's different from the others. He's quiet but also smart and isn't as mean as the others. Ponyboy started to change a lot when he saw the church go on fire, it made him realize that he can't only think about himself. What I liked the most was that he didn't give up on things and knew what was right and wrong. What I didn't like is that he had to say something to the socs. even when he knew they were outnumbered.

A poem I think represents Ponyboy is "Capturing The Wild Horse Of Courage" . I think it has a connection because Pony has the courage to go to a burning building to save little kids. He has some problems that he knows he can fix which connects with the poem. He listens to what others say ad thinks about it.i think this poem represents Pony.

Favorite Childhood Memories

One of my favorite childhood memories is when I went to Wisconsin Dells for the first time. The watermark I went was Khalahari. My favorite movie when I was younger was Space Jam because of Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan. My favorite tv show was Spongebob Squarepants because it was entertaining. Another memory is when I went to my first basketball game which was the Chicago Bulls. These were some of my favorite childhood memories.
